Help us share the story of our community! Lakehills Looking Forward is looking for two passionate neighbors to join our Web Team and help our local digital home flourish. Whether you have a way with words or a sharp eye for design, these roles offer a meaningful way to give back, grow your skills, and keep our community connected.
Community Storyteller (Website Editor)
As our Website Editor, you are the heart of our site’s content. You’ll help capture the spirit of Lakehills by finding and sharing the stories that matter most to all of us.
- Your Impact: You will be the one reaching out to neighbors and local authors to bring fresh perspectives and updates to our site.
- What You’ll Do: You’ll help polish articles for clarity, keep a simple calendar to ensure there is always something new to read, and handle the final “live” posting of stories and photos to our site.
- Personal Growth: This is a wonderful opportunity to sharpen your editorial eye and gain experience managing a community-focused content library.
Digital Space Designer (Webmaster)
The Webmaster is the architect of our online home. Your goal is to make sure our website is beautiful, easy for everyone to navigate, and reflects the welcoming nature of Lakehills.
- Your Impact: You will ensure that every neighbor—regardless of their tech skills—can find the information they need quickly and easily.
- What You’ll Do: You’ll have the creative freedom to choose the colors, layouts, and styles that represent our community brand. You will also look for helpful new tools, like additional community calendars or search bars, to make the site even more useful.
- Personal Growth: You’ll gain hands-on experience in modern web design, user experience (UX), and local search visibility, all while building a platform that serves hundreds of your neighbors.
